- Mbikusita Lewanika II
Mbikusita Lewanika II, was a Litunga (King) of Barotseland
(1968-1977); Government Minister and Member of Parliament
(1958-1963), Founder President-General of the Northern
Rhodesia African Congress (1948-1951); a pioneer organizer
of trade union moment; in addition to having been a
full time career serving as in worker welfare, public
relations and human resource management functions for
more than two decades.

Namaya Namakau Ng’umbi, was a Moyo
Imwambo (Consort to the King of Barotseland, (1968-1977);
Civic and Social Development workers, School teacher,
Church Leader and a pioneer of the Women Rights and
Women welfare organisations, including being the first
African women to register as a voter in Zambia, founder
of the Young Women’ Christian Association and
Girl Guide Movement in Zambia.
Paternal Grandfaterh - Lewanika I
Lewanika I of Barotseland (1878-1916); signatory to
the 1900 Protectorate Treaty between the Kingdom of
Barotseland and Her majesty Queen Victoria’s Government
of Great Britain and a participant at a summit meeting
in London, England with King Edward VII of Britain in
1902; one of the African Kings on the Upper House of
Chiefs of what is now the South African National Congress,
at its founding in Bloemfontein, South Africa, in 1912.
Princess of the Barotse Royal family
and Served as Mukwae Ngula (Statutory Queen Mother)
of the Kingdom of Barotseland (1968-1977).
Sister of twelve siblings.
Mother of two daughters.
Grandmother of five grandsons and
one granddaughter. Was married to the late Mr. Kabuka
Nyirenda, who had long served the Government of the
Republic of Zambia, as a senior diplomat at the United
Nations and in Germany and, as Permanent Secretary.
